Leominster’s Victorian Street Market is on Saturday 12 December 2026. Corn Square, Broad Street and the rest of the town centre fill with Christmas stalls, and the entertainment is Victorian-themed: Punch and Judy, Morris dancers, roaming performers and live seasonal music. Entry is free; it is a street market. The Lion Ballroom holds a free indoor Christmas market on Broad Street the same day, from 10am to 3pm.

Is it on this year? Yes. Leominster Town Council says the market “is held annually, on the 2nd Saturday of December”, and the Leominster Information Centre, which the council runs, lists the 2026 market for 12 December. What has not been published yet is the start and finish time and any road closure. We will add both when the council announces them.

The Information Centre’s 2026 listing promises stalls “offering handmade gifts, festive crafts, local produce, seasonal food and drink”, with the town’s independent shops (antiques, homewares, delicatessens) open alongside. It says trader announcements and entertainment updates will go out on the social media accounts of Leominster Information Centre and Leominster Markets & Events.

Last year’s market was on Saturday 13 December 2025, which fits the second-Saturday rule. The town council’s markets page still carries that date and says stall applications for 2026 would open later. Stall enquiries go to markets@leominstertowncouncil.gov.uk.

The Lion Ballroom market, the same day

The Lion Ballroom’s Christmas Market is on Saturday 12 December, 10am to 3pm, at the Lion Ballroom, 17 Broad Street, HR6 8DB. Entry is free. The listing describes stalls of Christmas gifts, handmade items, local products and seasonal treats, timed to make a full day of it with the Victorian market outside. More Christmas in Leominster

  • Advent Carol Service by Candlelight, Sunday 29 November, 6pm, Leominster Priory, Church Street, HR6 8NH. Free, with donations appreciated: anthems from the choir and Advent carols for everyone.
  • Christmas Tree Festival at Leominster Priory. The Information Centre lists it from 4 December 2026 to 7 January 2027, 10am to 4pm, free with donations welcome, with trees decorated by local groups and businesses. Its description still carries the 2024 to 2025 dates, though, so treat the 2026 run as unconfirmed until the Priory (01568 612124) publishes it.

Leominster’s Christmas lights switch-on is not on the Information Centre calendar for November or December 2026, and we found no 2026 date from the town council. We will add it here if one is announced.

Parking

Leominster’s council car parks are free all day on Sundays and charge Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, so you will pay on market day. The rates on Herefordshire Council’s tariff pages:

  • Central Area car park, HR6 8EP: £1.30 for an hour, £2.60 for two, two hours maximum
  • Etnam Street car park, HR6 8AE: £1 an hour up to £4 for four hours, and £4.90 for longer, which suits a full day at the market

The first 30 minutes are free in every council car park, but you still need a ticket from the machine. Leominster has 575 council spaces in all, including the Dishley Street and Broad Street car parks.
