Cinderella runs at The Courtyard, Edgar Street, HR4 9JR, from Friday 27 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027. It is the professional panto, it lasts 2 hours 20 minutes, and tickets are on sale now from £12.

The price you pay depends almost entirely on which date you pick, and the spread is £21 a seat between the cheapest and the dearest. That is the useful thing to know before you book.

The cheap dates and the expensive ones

Every price below is from The Courtyard’s own booking list, read on 5 September 2026, and excludes any booking fee.

Opening night is the cheapest seat in the entire run, at £12 to £14 on Friday 27 November at 6.30pm. The single most expensive week is 19 to 24 December, where every performance sits at £27 to £33, including the two shows on Christmas Eve at 10.30am and 2.30pm.

The pattern is simple: weekday evenings before 18 December are the value slot, at £14 to £16. Those are Thursday 3, Friday 4, Thursday 10 and Thursday 17 December, plus the Saturday and Sunday evening shows in the opening fortnight.

As at 5 September, three performances were already flagged “last few tickets” by the box office: Sunday 29 November at 1pm, Thursday 3 December at 7pm, and Saturday 12 December at 2pm.

Adult nights, 18 and over

The Courtyard runs five late shows for over-18s only, described by the theatre as “a memorable night of innuendos and hilarity”. Each one includes a free after-party with live music in the bar afterwards. All are £25 to £28.

  • Sunday 27 December, 8pm
  • Thursday 31 December, 6pm, with a New Year’s Eve party included in the ticket price

Note the New Year’s Eve show starts at 6pm, not 8pm like the others.

Accessible performances

Two are scheduled, and both are earlier in the run rather than at the end:

  • Audio described: Saturday 12 December, 2pm. Headsets from the box office. The theatre says the best seats for headset signal are rows E to V, seats 1 to 13.
  • Relaxed performance: Friday 18 December, 1pm. This is a separate listing in the booking system, not the 8pm adult night on the same date.

No BSL-interpreted or captioned performance has been announced.

Schools

Schools performances are bookable through the box office on 01432 340555 or by email, and schools get one free ticket for every ten bought. The theatre does not publish the schools dates or times on the public listing, so you have to ring.

Two more pantos at the same venue

Cinderella is not the only one. The Courtyard has three shows running side by side this Christmas, at very different prices:

  • The Snow Queen, Saturday 5 December to Thursday 24 December 2026, £11.50 to £12.50. A Courtyard Productions staging of the Hans Christian Andersen story written by Nick Lane, 55 minutes long, aimed at little ones the theatre describes as “not quite ready for pantomime”.
  • Aspire Panto 2026, Friday 4 and Friday 11 December, 11am and 1.30pm on both days, a flat £5 a ticket. This is the community strand.

And Hereford has a fourth panto, but not until after Christmas. Hereford Amateur Pantomime Society, running since 1982 and raising money for local charities, says its next production is in February 2027. No title or dates are published yet.

Getting there

The Courtyard is on Edgar Street, a ten-minute walk north of High Town, and it has its own car park, which the theatre confirms is open and operating normally.
