We’ve rustled up a variety of hot tub accommodations, including a charming log cabin in the Highlands. We also found a contemporary shepherd’s hut that looks out over Fells in the Lake District and a characterful stone cottage in the Cotswolds

Modern holiday lodge with a hot tub near Dedham
This Scandinavian-style lodge has a light and airy living space. It’s accommodation for those who prefer a more modern feel to their holiday homes. In the lounge is a feature woodburner surrounded by a sofa and two chairs. The space is perfect for cosying up during the winter time.
Your hot tub is mere steps away from your sofa. Use it to warm up after a day spent exploring Dedham Vale – an AONB – that you can walk to from your front door. Dedham village however, with its pastel coloured high street, cute tea shops and old inns, is two miles away. Mountainside cottage with a hot tub in Mourne, Northern Ireland
If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway, McCourts cottage is ideal. It sits at the end of a private lane in a secluded countryside setting, with just one barn next door for company. While it has that get-away-from-it-all feel, it is just two miles away from the centre of Hilltown village where you’ll find a couple of pubs and small convenience stores.
This three-bedroom 200-year-old house is pleasant inside, but its location is what makes it special. From the hot tub you’ll be looking out on Mourne, an AONB that scored top marks for scenery in our survey. It’s not surprising with its picture-postcard backdrop. The mountain slopes descend into fields, forests and moorlands and will finally meet the rugged coastline.
Hut with Fell views and a hot tub near Keswick, Lake District
This beautiful bijou hut is well equipped. The kitchen might be small, but still has an electric combi oven, microwave and grill, hob, kettle and fridge-freezer, so you can eat in.
The hut is studio-style – so the kitchen and bedroom are in one room. But, for what it lacks in space, it makes up for in its stunning location. You can look out over the Fells from the comfort of your dining room. Feeling energetic? You could attempt to climb some – start points up Skiddaw, Helvellyn and Catbells are all within 10 miles.
For those who prefer a slower pace, the pretty market town of Keswick is less than 10 minutes by car. It is home to scenic Derwentwater, and has two breweries to visit, as well as twice-weekly markets. Once finished exploring, you can head home to your hot tub, which has a fence and trees surrounding it for privacy.
Coastal retreat with a hot tub, near Port Isaac, Cornwall,
With stunning beaches, dramatic coastlines and wild moorlands, Cornwall in the south west of England is an idyllic location for a hot tub holiday. Our readers tell us so – they awarded Cornwall an area score of 85% in our AONB survey.
The accommodation we’ve found is just two miles up the road from Port Isaac. This popular fishing village with narrow winding streets and pretty harbour lined with restaurants is picturesque.
The luxurious house however is located in Trelights. Two families or eight friends could share – plus there’s no need to leave the pooch at home, up to two dogs are welcome. And while you’ll be well situated for all that the north coast of Cornwall offers, you might not want to leave. The house has been finished in white throughout, has a cosy woodburner to sit by, a hot tub, wine fridge and underfloor heating – so you’re all set for chilly winter evenings.

Full of historic character, this stone cottage is just three miles from the Cotswolds AONB, a location readers awarded four out of five stars for scenery, walks and food and drink. It’s a great base to visit nearby chocolate-box villages and walks aplenty, plus Michelin star restaurants dotted all over.
After a day spent exploring this picturesque part of the country, you can head back to your charming cottage. It’s been renovated beautifully, retaining original period features including exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace. For winter evenings, there is a woodburner if the hot tub doesn’t tempt you outside. Alternatively, the Fleece Inn, the only National Trust owned public house, is a minute’s walk away.
Holiday home with sea views and a hot tub in Dartmouth, Devon
The views from this three-bedroom chalet-style home are incredible. It has a huge terrace complete with hot tub, which looks out over the Dart estuary. And while the home is secluded, set into the hillside among the trees, you’re less than a mile walk into Dartmouth harbour – a destination readers loved in our seaside towns survey. There you can visit various independent boutiques and art galleries, as well as restaurants and gastro pubs.
Back at the house, there are two double bedrooms and a twin room. The master has a super king size bed and stacks of character thanks to the vaulted ceiling complete with turret and private balcony. Downstairs, there’s an open plan lounge and dining room, as well as a formal dining room, all of which is tastefully decorated.
Log cabin with a hot tub near Pitlochry, Highlands, Scotland
This log cabin is all about the location. It sits on a working farm in the Highlands, surrounded by rolling hills, so there are stunning views from the hot tub on the balcony. Because of this countryside spot, there are walks from the front door.
If you do want to venture further out, you’re just a 10-minute drive from Pitlochry – a town awarded five out of five stars for its scenery by Which? readers, likely due to the mountainous backdrop. While small, the town has several cafes, pubs and tea rooms as well as two distilleries. One, Blair Athol, is one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland. Here you can take a tour and sample malt whisky. Alternatively, head just outside of town on a walk up to ‘Queen’s View’, a viewpoint which overlooks Loch Tumme
