Helen Skelton put family first as she enjoyed a sun-soaked day out with her kids. The Countryfile host, 39, beamed in a snap posted to Instagram, which showed her cuddling two of the three kids she shares with ex Richie Myler.

The former couple announced they were going their separate ways earlier this year after nine years of marriage. They have three young children, Ernie, six, Louis, five and Elsie Kate, seven months.

The latter was seen beaming in Helen’s Instagram snap as she stare straight into the camera. The busy mum was seen in a pair of wellies, denim shorts and green vest, with a khaki cover up. She pulled on a pair of sunglasses as she headed for their outdoor adventure, in a snap she captioned: “Summer time.”

It came just days after Richie shared a romantic snap with his new girlfriend. Just weeks after the pair brake up it was reveal that Leeds Rhinos rugby ace Richie was dating. Marketing exec Stephanie Thirkill, 32, the daughter of multi-millionaire Andrew Thirkill. Helen and Richie tied the knot in 2013. But in April the couple split.

In an emotional social media post, Helen said: “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children.” She ended the post with two broken heart emojis. Addressing his new romance, a source close to the couple told: “Helen is absolutely devastate. Now she is contemplating life without him while he has moved on with his new partner.”

However, Richie insists there was no crossover, and that he began the romance with Stephanie after their marriage finished, but Helen feels let down. The source add: “She thought their marriage was safe and secure and is totally shock by what’s happen.”
